The public is invited to comment on the potential addition of the following species to the Northwest Territories (NWT) List of Species at Risk. Update: Comments were due by July 29, 2017 and the comment period is now closed.
Barren-ground caribou - proposed listing as Threatened:
Grizzly bear - proposed listing as Special Concern:
Little brown myotis (a bat) - proposed listing as Special Concern:
Northern myotis (a bat) - proposed listing as Special Concern:
Please consider the following questions when providing comments:
- Should the species be added to the NWT List of Species at Risk? Why or why not?
- Do you think that the status should be something other than proposed? If so, why?
- If the species were added to the List, do you think there would be any negative impacts from the listing? If so, what?
- Is there new or missing information that was not considered in the status report? If so, can you provide it or tell us where to find it?
